Benjamin Tweneboah Thrilled By Sharks’ Second Straight Away Win

Elmina sharks winger, Benjamin Tweneboah says he is content with the team’s performance on the road as Elmina Sharks FC stole a vital 2-1 away win from Ashanti Gold SC at the dreaded Obuasi Len Clay Sport Stadium yesterday saying, he drew inspiration from his mum who instigated him to score an awe-inspiring goal in the match day 23 of the on-going Ghana premier league.

The team went on a 3points fishing expedition at the Len clay sports stadium which was tagged as the fast track high court and the midfielder’s second hit rendered the fast track high court an ordinary court.

In an interview with ghanapremierleaguelive.com, the winger couldn’t hide his joy but gave all the credit to his mum for encouraging him.

I’m happy for the team’s performance today but especially to my mum because she called prior to the game saying I will score. I became excited in our hotel and started celebrating ahead of the game so; I decided to work hard to get that goal for her. I thank my mum very much for the inspiration’’.

The inexhaustible winger has been the ‘livewire’ of the Elmina based side aiding them in the GN Bank division one League to gain promotion into elite football in the country. He’s still been phenomenal in the 2016/2017 Ghana premier league, their debut season with an enviable record of 5 goals, 5 assists and 5 MVP’s to his credit.

The team looked slippery somewhere along the line until the bankroller Dr. Nduom made some changes to the technical bench asking Coach Kwabena Amissah to proceed on a two-week leave and bring on Yaw Acheampong.

The win against Ashanti Gold SC has lifted the team some few points above the relegation zone with 30 points and lying 11th on the league log.
