Tema Youth’s Defender Francis Okunko Wins Premier League Photo of The Week for Match Week 1

Tema Youth FC’s defender Francis Adjetey-Okunko’s photo emerged as the winner of the match week one photo challenge voted by the public as the best image of Ghana premier league match day one.

Francis’ photo was put out for voting with three other pictures including the coach of Inter Allies FC Prince Owusu across all social media platforms of IMAGES IMAGE an online photo bank in Ghana covering the elite league.

Born 9th April 1996 is a Central back of Tema Youth FC but can play across all the defence, meaning he can be deployed as a Left back or a right back.

Francis is the ball playing defenders type and also very hardworking.
The only team he has played apart from Tema Youth is Prisco Minis in the Tema Colts league.

He was signed by Tema Youth in 2014 for 3 years but left to further his education at Takoradi Technical University. He graduated and came back fully to pursue football as a career.

As a centre back, he has always admired former Barcelona's captain and centre-back Carles Puyol because of his leadership role and how hardworking he is when playing and wants to play to the highest level or even more than that.

Francis' dream is to move up to the international stage and to play for one of the team's in Spain one day. He believes in hard-work, dedication, mutual respect, as some of his attributes as a footballer.
