The ‘Eleven Is To One’ bounced back to winning ways with a well-deserved 2-0 win over Medeama SC at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Wahab Ackwei (penalty) and Hashmin Musah (header) in both halves ensured that Inter Allies grabbed a comfortable win to end our 5-game win less run.

On a bright note the Capelli Boys commenced the game firing from all cylinders with and deservedly got a penalty in the 9th minute due to the pressing game from the beginning.

Defender Wahab Ackwei who was the captain of the day stepped up and converted from the spot calmly to claim his htird goal of the season, his personal goal scoring best in a season.

Inter Allies held on to the slender lead until the mandatory halfway break.

Allies nearly doubled the lead few minutes after recess but Abdul Nassiru Hamzah and Isaac Osae failed to connect their chances.

The Tarkwa and Mauves were forced back and were quiet due to several questions asked by the ‘Eleven Is To One’

On the 69th minute, the home fans finally got their nerves calmed after Hashmin Musah jumped the highest to nod home Wahab Ackwei’s cross to make it 2-0.

Medeama fired blank with the few chances that came their way and Allies recorded their first win after going 5 games without a win.

Abdul Nassiru Hamzah (Allies) was named the NASCO Man of the match.

A 94th minute goal by Hafiz Sadiq ensured that Bechem United beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 on Sunday at Bechem.

Looking hungrier and more determined for the three points, the home side started the game the brighter of the two calling the Kotoko defence into action on several occasions.

Ahmed Toure, formerly of Asante Kotoko wrestled the Kotoko defence hoping to nick one pass his former colleagues but the Kotoko defence ensured he remained blunt despite his early incursions. Defenders Awal Mohammed and Nafiu Awudu were alert throughout the game especially in the first half to prevent any havoc against the Porcupines.

In what looks like a topsy-turvy season for Asante Kotoko, who were playing against a Bechem United side that were racing against their defence with all vim and venom found it difficult to penetrate through the opponent’s area.

Indeed Emmanuel Gyamfi, playing on the flanks for the Porcupines found it difficult to find his playmates in the right spots for a goal. On occasions that his crosses came close to causing havoc, Bechem United’s goalie, Ernest Adu grabbed the ball to prevent any danger.

Asante Kotoko lifted up their game in the second half and pushed Bechem United back into their area but as characteristic of them throughout this season, the Porcupine Warriors failed to make their dominance count.

Both sides played their hearts out looking to get the much needed goals but the defence of both sides ensured the game remained barren.

Late in the game however Bechem United ensured Kotoko left the Brong Ahafo region empty handed after Hafiz Sadiq scored the only goal of the game for the home side.

Asante Kotoko XI: Felix Annan, Amos Frimpong, Eric Donkor, Awal Mohammed, Nafiu Awudu, Owusu Jackson, Prince Aquah, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Abass Mohammed, Kwame Boahene, Obed Owusu

Bechem United XI: Adu Ernest, Asante Agyepong, Daniel Egyin, Akwesi Acheampong, Ahmed Toure, Maxwell Frimpong, Hafiz, Owusu Amoah, Sadiq Haji, Akoto Danso, Hamza Mohammed
